About Elizabeth
I serve as the licensed art therapy representative on the Maryland Board of Professional Counselors and Therapists. Prior to that, I was the legislative chair for the Maryland Art Therapy Association. I have worked closely with other mental health professionals, as well as state legislators, to increase the quality and availability of art therapy services to the public.
I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Art Therapist and Board Certified Art Therapist.  I have worked in clinical, educational and community settings. I spent five years as an art therapist in an eating disorders hospital program, where I worked with individuals in inpatient, partial and IOP levels of care. This gave me experience working with body image issues, PTSD and other factors that can coexist with an eating disorder. I have also facilitated art therapy interventions for families and couples to increase communication and build empathy.
