Do I have to be good at art?

Not at all! Art therapy does not require skill, just a willingness to be creative.

What is an existentially oriented approach?

An existential approach to therapy considers the experience of existence as a human in the world. Existentialism is a holistic philosophy, taking an individual’s cultural, political, and social background into account. Although the term existentialism can sound heavy, it is actually a philosophy that aims to understand a person’s most basic condition: being human. An existentially-oriented therapist views their client’s distress as a response to the struggles of humanity.
